Leaving Whitby

The focal point of this oil painting is the small crab and lobster fishing boat 'Pride and Joy' departing the quayside of Whitby Harbour in North Yorkshire, England.
I visited the town in 2024 with my wife and this beautiful town had a number of scenes that inspired me to create artwork. But there is something special about the fisherman of the seas and their vessels, their workplace, thier home for a time and the adventure beyond the safety of the harbour wall that inspired me to create this scene.
 
The painting is priced unframed, there are no plans for prints for this artwork, so it will be totally unique. The painting can be purchased framed if required, please contact me to arrange this with additional costs and a certificate of authenticity as an original artwork is supplied.
